Coron, Palawan 2017

Coron is a magical, magical place, and I didn’t anticipate falling in love with it as hard as I did. Everything about the town, the surrounding islands, the mountains, the sea, the coral reefs, and the fish stimulated all my senses, and I don’t think I’ve said “WOW” more times in my life.

The town is still largely uncommercialized and the reefs are bustling with life. The bleached corals helped me see firsthand the kind of toll global warming is taking on the planet. It made me realize that we only have one Earth and I left being motivated to change things in my everyday life that will reduce my ecological footprint in the long run.

I still dream about those mountains and the salt water.
